Mark began his pastorate here on October 1, 2008. He graduated from Central Baptist Seminary with a Master of Divinity, Capella University with a Master of Science, William Jewell College, with a Bachelor of Arts in Religion, and Avila University with a Teaching Certificate. Mark taught high school for five years and is dedicated to reaching out to children and youth.
He was ordained in 1982 in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the Greater Kansas City Region and served two churches there, Roanoake Christian Church and Broadview Christian Church. Recently he has been the senior minister at First Christian Church in La Grande OR, where he has served for 9 years. He has been actively involved in the community serving on the board of directors for Habitat for Humanity, Shelter from the Storm (a domestic violence shelter), and Campus Ministry House of Eastern Oregon University.

Johanna has been working at First Christian Church since 1999, where she started as an extended session children’s teacher. She has a Master of Science in Communications Studies from Portland State University. Johanna is currently a full-time assistant minister who oversees the Children’s Ministry, Wedding Ministry, and is our Membership Coordinator.

Dale came on staff part-time in 1996 as our Minister of Pastoral Care. He provides pastoral care and hospital chaplaincy in addition to assisting in worship, co-teaching Adult Sunday school class, and conducting memorials. Dale ministers regularly at many community outreach programs throughout the Portland area.

Patrick is a retired Registered Pharmacist, who came on staff part-time in 2003. He is involved in many of our service and ministry groups such as Stephen Ministry, Taizé worship, CW/CMF, and the Prayer Shawl ministry to name a few. He is the co-coordinator of the curriculum for our Adult Sunday school classes, and organizes our summer forums.
