Prayer Force

The Purpose of the Prayer Force Is to Support Growth of Prayer Life at First Christian  Church.

We are very blessed to have many successful prayer activities at our church which are devoted to meditation and/or prayer for individuals.  To complement and coordinate these efforts, the Prayer Force will be praying about specific goals, needs and requests from various FCC groups and ministries.

The Prayer Force:

  • Serves as a coordinating body for prayer activities
  • Offers support through prayer for all ministries and pastors at First Christian Church
  • Sponsors prayer training, speakers and prayer related special events
  • Provides convenient ways to make prayer requests and to share answers (request cards are available in the sanctuary pew racks and on the information table in the Narthex)
  • Encourages collective and private prayer by providing:
    • A prayer chapel (office hallway)
    • Special prayer related materials
    • A two-way prayer bulletin board
  • Promotes church-wide participation in prayer for at least                                                                                             five minutes per day for specific causes and requests
