Children & Veterans Meetup – Thursday, November 11 @ 10:00 am

Children and their parents will meet at 10:00 am to make cards and cookies for Veterans and play some games. At 11:00 am Veterans are invited to share their stories and have treats with the Children. Veterans are encouraged to wear their uniforms if they want.

Labyrinth Walk & Taizé Worship
Join us on Sunday, November 21 at 6:00 pm to walk the Labyrinth followed by Taizé, a candlelit and meditative worship. This service happens the third Sunday of every month. Everyone is invited to attend.
CW/CMF General Meeting – Wednesday, November 24

The general meeting for the CW/CMF will be held on Wednesday, November 24 at 11:00 am in the Multimedia Room. For only $5, all are invited to attend our luncheon at noon. The guest speaker for November is Wash Jo from Mission of Hope. He will be speaking about Kenya and the special needs of that Country.

Animal Blessing at First Christian Church – Saturday, October 30 @ 11:00 am

First Christian Church (located on SW Park, between Columbia and Jefferson) will hold its Animal Blessing on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at 11:00 am. It is time to bless those who bless our lives so much…the animals that we share our lives with. All creatures – great and small – are invited to receive a blessing. Bring your dogs, cats, rats, fish, rabbits, guinea pigs, snakes, and birds. Donations of food and/or toys will be collected to donate to a local animal shelter. Please enter through courtyard gates on Columbia and on Broadway. This event is free and open to all. Contact the church office with questions at 503-228-9211.
Combined Service “Gospel Music” – Sunday, October 31 @ 11:00 am

It’s 5th Sunday Combined Worship Service on October 31.
There will be a Communion service at 9:00 am and Sunday School at 10:00 am. The Worship service at 11:00 am will feature Gospel Music throughout the service. This is also the kick-off for our Stewardship campaign. The Children will have a Halloween party during extended session and there is a Potluck at noon. Please bring a dish to share!
