Meander the city on bikes and walk indoor and outdoor labyrinths. Meditative and playful. Bring a sack dinner to eat on the way. Before the ride, we welcome you to visit PSU’s Spiritual Life Center. The ride will culminate at First Christian Church with an indoor Labyrinth walk and refreshments.
Donations are accepted at some venues.

Book Group – Tuesday, June 15

The book for June is “Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ’s Childhood Pal” by Christopher Moore. The Book Group will meet at the Schlessman home on Tuesday, June 15 at 7:00 pm. In July the Book Group is having a potluck BBQ at the Clendenin’s home. There is not a book for July. The Book Group extends a welcome to anyone interested in attending the group.
CW/CMF General Meeting – Wednesday, June 16

The general meeting for the CW/CMF will he held on Wednesday, June 16 at 11:00 am in the Multimedia Room. For only $5, all are invited to attend our luncheon at noon. After the luncheon there will be a guest speaker. If you haven’t made your reservation, call the church office at 503-228-9211. This will be the last General Meeting until after summer break.
Kitchen Training 101 – Saturday, June 19

Have you noticed that our church has lots of events that include food? Have you also noticed that the same few individuals seem to be setting up, serving & cleaning up at these events? Many of us might be willing to step into this hosting role, but are not sure of how things work in the kitchen. Judy Wright and Karen Hahn are here to help! They are teaching Kitchen 101 on Saturday, June 19 at 9:30 am…in the Kitchen! You will learn where to find and store supplies, how to make coffee, how to use the stove/ovens, how to operate the dishwasher and get answers to all of your questions. There will be something to eat at the training so please call the church office to sign up at 503-228-9211 so we can plan accordingly. See you in the kitchen!

Joyful Noise Choir – Summer Break

It’s time for Summer Break! The last practice before summer break will be Thursday, June 3. Their last performance will be Sunday, June 6. The Joyful Noise Choir will begin rehearsals again on Thursday, September 9, 2010. Please contact the church office for more information about this choir.

Graduation Sunday, June 13 – Both Services

Graduation is a time that we will honor children who are moving up to the next class in church school, graduates of all kinds, and we will announce scholarship recipients. This will happen at both services. We will also have a cake available during the 10 o’clock hour to honor our graduates.
